At All Saints of North America, there is a tiered, incremental series of Christian formation, education, and Bible study classes you will be expected to take.
Everyone starts at the beginning, and everyone moves through our process of catechism, initiation, and mystagogy.
New Member Class
What is this all about?
The first class for everyone, whether you are an inquirer, catechumen, or transferring membership, this class covers many Christian basics on the Gospel, the Church, Christian belief and practice, membership, and expectations. This is a mandatory class for all members.
Catechumen Class
Orthodox Christianity 101
For those desiring to learn more about the Orthodox faith and way of life, the Catechumen course is a thorough “Orthodoxy 101” course, introducing the deep faith of authentic Christianity to the modern mind, and preparing inquirers for entrance into the Church.
Mystagogy Class
Introduction to the Interior Life
For those who now engaging in the Orthodox spiritual life, this course sheds light on the interior life of the soul and spirit, covering the stages of temptation, the powers of the soul, the curative exercises provided by the Church for spiritual healing, maturity, and advancement.
Introduction to Your Bible
The Beginner’s Bible Survey
How does someone who is unfamiliar with the Bible even begin to “study the Bible”? Our ‘Introduction to Your Bible‘ course fills a huge gap in Orthodox study materials for both Christians who were raised on Bible study and others who have only heard the Scriptures read in services or quoted in books or homilies. Our text is “Called To Serve,” and is a basic Bible survey for Orthodox Christians.

Topical Bible Studies to Increase Faith
Bible study is an integral part of Christian formation, and these topical study classes will shed new light on the Bible, the Church, the Spiritual Life, and how to lead a Christian life. Open the doors of perception when reading the Scriptures, and you will learn to see the Scriptures with the eye of the Church, and this is the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Spiritual study and guided spiritual formation
Traditional spiritual guidance, mutually informative discussion and accountability under the direction of an experienced Orthodox priest. In depth discussion and study on the spiritual life, asceticism, vocation, and advancing in the neptic practices of the Church, seeing the Scriptures with the eye of the Spirit, and progressive practice in the spiritual disciplines of the Church.
