An Orthodox Church Serving the West Valley

All Saints of North America is an English-speaking Orthodox Christian parish serving families throughout the West Valley of the Phoenix metropolitan area. Our parish is home to lifelong Orthodox Christians, converts from many Christian traditions, young families, retirees, college students, and visitors from around the world.

As part of the worldwide Orthodox Church, we continue the same apostolic faith that has been faithfully preserved since the Day of Pentecost. Every Divine Liturgy is a participation in the worship that Christians have offered for nearly two thousand years. (All Saints Orthodox Church)

What to Expect on Your First Visit

If this will be your first visit to an Orthodox Church, don’t worry—you won’t be expected to know everything.

When you visit All Saints of North America, you can expect:

  • A warm and welcoming parish community
  • Ancient Christian worship centered on Jesus Christ
  • Beautiful iconography and sacred music
  • Biblical preaching rooted in the teachings of the early Church
  • Services celebrated primarily in English
  • Friendly parishioners happy to answer your questions
  • Fellowship after Sunday Divine Liturgy
  • Many people simply observe during their first visit. Feel free to stand, listen, pray, and experience Orthodox worship at your own pace!

What Should I Wear?

Visitors often ask about attire.

There is no formal dress code, but most people dress modestly, comfortably, and respectfully, similar to what they might wear for a wedding, business casual event, or Sunday worship service. Some women choose to wear head coverings, while many do not. Visitors are not expected to.

The most important thing is that you come.

Can I Attend if I’m Not Orthodox?

Absolutely.

Visitors are welcome at every service.

Many of our parishioners first came to All Saints while searching for answers about Christianity, Church history, or the Orthodox faith. Some came from Protestant backgrounds, others from Roman Catholic churches, and many had little or no church experience at all.

We encourage visitors to stay after the Divine Liturgy for fellowship and conversation with our clergy and parish family. (All Saints of North America)

Family-Friendly Orthodox Church in the West Valley

Children are always welcome in Orthodox worship.

Unlike many churches, children remain with their families during the Divine Liturgy, learning through participation in the life of the Church. While young children sometimes make noise, this is a normal and joyful part of parish life.

Parents should never feel embarrassed if their children need to step outside for a few moments before returning. It’s very common, and we want your children in worship with us, not distracted by other things.
